Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate Policy Update

I just wanted to let you know about some new affiliate policy changes that will be put into effect today…

With $2.2 Million in affiliate commission paid out just last year alone, the success of the affiliate system has gotten so large, that these new updates have been put in place to help keep our books organized, and in line with IRS best practices…

So starting TODAY, the following will take effect:

1: Commissions to affiliates inside the US will be mailed by check only. PayPal and AlertPay will no longer be an option for US based affiliates.

Checks will be mailed to the address located under the “My Account” tab, and “Personal Information”. Please login and make sure this is your correct mailing address.

International affiliates outside the US will continue to receive their commissions via PayPal and AlertPay as normal.

2: US Affiliates MUST have a SSN/Tax ID number on file immediately. All further commission payments will be withheld until your account is updated with this tax information.

Please login and click on the “My Account” tab, and then “Payment Information” to update your SS# or Tax ID.

If you fail to provide an SS# or Tax ID within 90 days, all pending commissions will be forfeited.

3: Commissions balances under $20.00 will not be paid, until the balance reaches $20.00. Commissions owed of $20.00 or more, will be paid normally.

So that’s it! Make sure you login and update your payment/address/tax information if you’re a US resident immediately, so you’re commissions will be paid on time July 1st.

Important Policy Update About Your Magnetic Sponsoring Affiliate Check…

Well, my book-keep’s had me in a head-lock for months, and she’s finally won…

The situation: The massive number of affiliates and commission payments being made are getting out of hand… (In 2009 alone, we paid out over $2,000,000 in commissions to affiliates!)

But in order to keep things organized in our books, and the right amount delivered to you, our book-keeper and CPA have insisted that we adopt the industry standard practice of paying commissions every 30 days, instead of every 2 weeks.

So effectively immediately, Magnetic Sponsoring will be paying out affiliate commissions every 30 days, (the 1st of every month), instead of every 2 weeks.

So instead of sending payments for the period of April 1st-15th on May 16th, the entire month of April will be paid on June 1st. Commissions made during the entire month of May will be paid on July 1st. Etc…

The bad news is that you’ll only be getting 1 check from me each month, but the good news is that it should be twice as much Thank you for your continued support, and I’ll talk to you soon!

New MS Commission Schedule…

I hope you had an awesome New Year’s Eve! Michelle and I spent ours having a quiet dinner at home, and watching a movie. I’m not really a big “holiday” guy. To me, every day is just as important and noteworthy as the next

Anyway, I’ve got an important piece of news for you, that I should have sent two weeks ago, because it would have saved you and I, from a lot of confusion and customer service hassles!

As you know, we’ve been in the process of transferring over to a brand new MS System Platform, that’s been quite a challenge to implement. Imagine trying to untangle a baseball sized knot of fishing line, and you’ll understand

None-the-less, all of the sales, traffic, and commission data is safe. It’s just a matter of importing it correctly into the new database. Thankfully progress is being made each day, but with every victory, another challenge arises.

Anyway, on to commissions…

A few people have left support tickets with questions about missing commissions, or different check amounts than they were expecting.

Well the reason for that is simple. I just forgot to tell you about it !!!

Here is an example to explain the NEW payment schedule that went into effect last month…

Because of the new software we’re using, all commissions, (even the $20 payments), will be held for 30 days and then paid on the following pay period.

This is industry-standard practice, and a very important tool that will help us combat commission fraud.

In order to get to this point, we had to hold back commissions for a period.

The pay period for the 16th of December will payout previously held commissions from November 1st to November 15th.

For the following pay period (January 1st), we will payout November 16th to the 31st.

We are going to be holding back commissions December 1st to the 15th, which will be paid out on January 16th.

This is what’s causing the questions for many of you, and it’s my fault for letting this new policy slip past me, amid the many other priorities we’ve had over the last month.

I’ll just say this… The best things in life are worth waiting for
